Kutting Edge Ladies Hair & Beauty Spa Boutique is tucked away in Block C of Bangur Avenue. We are at 109/1, right behind the Bank of India. It’s a bit of a longer name for a shop, but we do a few different things here like hair and clothes. Being behind the bank makes it a little quieter than the main road, which is nice. We spend our days between the salon chairs and the boutique section. It keeps us pretty busy most of the time. Bangur Avenue is a nice neighborhood, and we have lived or worked around here for years. We don’t have a polished corporate look. Our shop feels more like a place where you can just sit and talk. We have some racks for the clothes and the mirrors for the hair work. We do the cleaning ourselves and try to keep the place looking decent. Sometimes the lane gets crowded with parked cars, but usually, it's a calm spot. We see a lot of the same people walking their dogs or going to the bank. We’ve got a small team and we just get on with the work. We don’t have any big mission statements. We just show up every day and do our best with the scissors or the fabric. It’s a practical way to run a business in this part of Kolkata. We like being in Block C because it feels like a real community here.
