R.V. MEHTA & SONS is located at 14 Bentinck Street. We’ve been using P.O. Box 2704 for a very long time. Bentinck Street is an old part of the city, and it’s always full of people and shops selling all sorts of things from shoes to electronics. Our place is tucked in there among the rest. It’s an old building with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. You can feel the history when you walk in. We aren't the type of business to have a lot of modern glass and chrome. We like our wooden desks and the way things have always been done here. It’s a family-run sort of place, so there’s always a lot of talk about who is doing what and how things used to be done in the old days. We don't use much marketing because people mostly find us through word of mouth or by just walking past on the street. It’s a busy street, so there’s never a dull moment outside. Sometimes the noise from the traffic and the horns is a bit much, but it’s part of the charm of being on Bentinck Street. We just handle our daily business, keep track of our ledgers by hand, and make sure we take care of the people who come in. It’s a simple, honest way to run a shop, and we’ve been doing it this way for years without needing to change much.
