Pradip Tools Centre

We've been at 40/4 for quite a while now. Getting up to the first floor is just part of the morning routine here on Strand Road. The view out the window usually involves the Income Tax Building and whatever truck is stuck in traffic outside. It gets pretty loud with all the horns honking down below, but you get used to it after a week or two. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly which drawer a small part is in because we have so much stuff crammed into the shelves. Pradip Tools Centre isn't some fancy showroom. It’s just a place where we keep the inventory and help people who walk in needing something specific for their work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but there’s never really a good time to move everything out of the way. We spend most of our day answering the phone and looking through catalogs. It’s dusty work sometimes. When the sun hits the office in the afternoon, you can see all the particles floating in the air. Most people find us because they’re already in the area for government business nearby. We just open the shutters, turn on the fans, and get through the list of things that need doing. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. Nothing too complicated about it. We just stay here until the evening when the traffic on Strand Road finally starts to thin out a bit after the sun sets.
