Royal Ac Saloon

We are over in Salt Lake City, Sector 2, right by the Ag Market. The shop is called Royal Ac Saloon. We put the AC in because the summers here in Kolkata get really hot and it makes it better for the customers and for us while we work. It is a very simple setup inside. We have the standard barber chairs and big mirrors on the walls. Being near the market means it is always noisy outside with people buying things, but inside it stays fairly calm and cool. We get a mix of people, from office workers in their shirts to students living in the nearby blocks. Most people just come in for a quick trim or a shave before they head out. We don't do anything very stylish or trendy, just the basic stuff that looks neat and tidy. The shop isn't very large, so if there are three or four people waiting, it starts to feel a bit full. We try to keep the place as clean as possible, but with hair everywhere, it’s a constant job with the broom. We have been in this spot for a long time. The Ag Market is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. We don't spend any money on advertising. Word of mouth from the neighbors is how most people find us. We just show up, open the doors, and start working on whoever comes through.
