Rohit Saloon

Rohit Saloon is a ground-floor shop located on Mahisbathan Road. We are quite near the Mahisbatan Sani Mandir, so we are in a very recognizable part of the neighborhood. The temple is a big part of the life here, and we often hear the sounds of the rituals while we are working. Our saloon is a small, honest place. We have a few chairs and the basic tools we need for haircuts and shaves. We aren't trying to be a fancy salon like the ones you see in the big shopping malls. This is a place for the local men of Mahisbathan to come and get their hair done without any trouble. We have been here for several years and we know most of our customers by their first names. They come here not just for the service, but also to catch up on the local news or talk about the latest cricket match. We don't have a receptionist or a website. You just walk in and if there is a chair free, you are next. If it is busy, you can sit on the bench and wait a while. We keep the shop open from the morning until the evening. It is a lot of work, but we like being a part of this community. The mirrors are a bit old and the paint might be peeling in a few spots, but it is our place and we do our best every day.
