Our office is tucked into Nakuleshwar Bhattacharjee Lane, right in the heart of Kalighat. It is at number 31 A, and if you know this part of the city, you know how narrow and busy these lanes can get. We do all sorts of info services here, which basically means we are surrounded by computers, monitors, and more tangled cables than I’d like to admit. It’s a local operation, and we’ve been part of the Kalighat neighborhood for quite some time now. The building is older, so we have to deal with the occasional leak or a stubborn door, but it feels like home to us. During the festivals, the whole lane gets packed with people, and it can be hard to even get to the front door, but we enjoy the energy of it. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting at our desks, working through data or helping someone with a service request. We don’t have a big sign out front, just a small one that lets you know you’ve found Rcg Infomatics &Services. It’s a practical space without any of the fancy decorations you might see in those big tech parks. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep things running smoothly for everyone who relies on us. Sometimes we take our tea breaks out on the lane just to watch the world go by before getting back to the screens.
