Vikram Solar Pvt. Ltd. is located in Tobacco House at 1 Old Court House Corner. This is an old building in a very historic part of the city. You can feel the age of the place as soon as you walk in. The ceilings are high and the corridors have that old-school architecture. Our office isn't one of those new, sleek spaces with glass and chrome. It’s more of a traditional setup with heavy wooden desks and old filing cabinets. We deal with solar energy, which is a modern industry, but doing it from such a historic building is an interesting contrast. The street outside is always packed with people and the sound of traffic is constant. The elevators are quite old and can be a bit temperamental, so some of us just take the stairs. We have a lot of people working here, so it gets pretty loud and busy during the day. There’s no fancy break room, so we usually just eat at our desks or head out to one of the local eateries. The atmosphere is very grounded and hardworking. We don’t have any corporate mission posters on the walls. We just get on with our work. It’s a bit dusty and the paint might be peeling in a few spots, but it feels like a real place with a lot of history. We’re happy to be in this part of town, right where all the action is.
