Working out of 28 Sadanand Road has its ups and downs. The location is central, but the parking is a total headache for anyone visiting. We are Eralamp Manufacturing (I) Pvt. Ltd., and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we get our work done. Inside, you won't find any designer furniture. We have heavy-duty tables and plenty of lighting because that’s what we need for the manufacturing side of things. It’s a bit of a dusty place sometimes, despite our best efforts to keep it clean. That’s just the nature of the work. We aren't a big corporation with layers of management. If you have a question, you just ask whoever is standing closest to you. We keep our overheads low so we can just focus on the lamps. Most of our days are spent checking the inventory or making sure the production line is moving along like it should. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just have a schedule and a list of things to finish by Friday. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We've seen businesses come and go on Sadanand Road, but we’ve managed to stay put by just being practical about everything we do. The ceiling fan in the main area makes a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to ignore.
