Rayal Hair Cutting Saloon

We’ve been here in Hatiara for a good while now. The shop is right in the New Market area, which gets pretty busy most days especially in the evenings when everyone is out getting their groceries. Rayal Hair Cutting Saloon isn’t a fancy place with big lights or anything like that, but we have our chairs and our mirrors and they do the job just fine. People from around the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to chat for a bit before sitting down. It’s a local spot, you know? My father started this and now I’m here most days from morning until late at night. Kolkata can get really hot, so the fan is always running. We try to keep things tidy but with hair flying everywhere it’s a constant battle. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out or use the manual clippers if it's daylight. I don’t really know what else to say. We are at Hatiara, Kolkata - 700157. If you live nearby you’ve probably walked past us a hundred times. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years with new buildings coming up, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We have a few regulars who have been coming since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids here. It’s just a normal part of the day for us. Nothing too special, just a place to get a trim.
