Rangamati Salon

Rangamati Salon is located at E/F-9, Jyangra Dakhin in Kolkata. We are pretty close to the Jaltank, which is how most people find us if they are new to the area. It’s a quiet residential part of town compared to the main roads. The shop is small and simple, with just the essential things we need to get through the day. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it's on, but it keeps the air moving when it gets stuffy. There’s a small sink in the back and a few mirrors on the main wall. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, though it’s hard when people are coming in and out all afternoon. Most of our customers are guys from the neighborhood who have been coming here for years. We know their stories and they know ours. It’s not the kind of place where you find fancy gadgets or anything modern. We just have our scissors, some razors, and a few bottles of hair oil on the shelf. Jyangra Dakhin is a decent place to be, and we like the people around here. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s slow, just watching the kids play or the neighbors go about their business. It’s a modest shop and we don’t try to be anything else. We just open the door in the morning and see who shows up.
