Ranaghat Sub Divn Hospital

Being the Ranaghat Sub Divn Hospital means we are always right in the middle of everything. We are located near the Ranaghat railway station in the Nadia district, so there is constantly a flow of people coming and going. You can hear the trains sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way. It’s a big, busy place, and it stays that way from morning until night. People from all over the surrounding villages take the train in just to visit us. Often, the halls are crowded with families, and there’s always a bit of noise from the tea stalls nearby. Because this is a government-run spot, things are done in a certain way, and we have to handle a lot of paperwork every single day. Working hard is part of the job here because there are always more people waiting in line. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s an important part of Ranaghat. We have seen the town change a lot over the years, but the hospital stays pretty much the same, just getting a bit more worn around the edges. No fancy bells or whistles can be found here. It is just a place where people come when they are sick or hurt. Since everyone knows where the station is, they find us without much trouble. The staff just tries to get through the daily list of patients as best as we can.
