Our branch for G4S Facility Services is situated at 34/3, U.K. Dutta Road in Kolkata. It’s a plain building, nothing flashy on the outside. We handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff for other companies, like security and cleaning and general maintenance. Most of our day is spent coordinating people and schedules. The office on U.K. Dutta Road is where we keep all the records and hold our meetings. It’s a busy place with people coming in and out at all hours because the work never really stops. We’ve got desks piled with rosters and phone lines that ring pretty often. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when everyone is in the office at once. Kolkata weather can be tough on the building, so we’re always fixing something or other. We’re just a bunch of workers trying to keep things organized for our clients. There isn’t a lot of time for fancy talk or marketing. We focus on the logistics. If you come by, you’ll see us mostly on our phones or writing stuff down.
