Rammapati Exports

Our office is tucked away on the 5th floor of the building at 4, Synagogue Street. You have to take the lift up to Room No. 512, which can be a bit slow some days when everyone is trying to get to work. It’s a busy spot in the city. Rammapati Exports isn’t a huge operation with hundreds of people, just a few of us handling the paperwork and making sure the exports go where they are supposed to go. The desks are usually covered in files and shipping documents. It can get a bit hectic when a big order is leaving, but that is part of the job. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails. The light comes in quite nicely through the windows in the afternoon, which is probably the best part of being on the 5th floor. Sometimes the couriers get lost finding the room, so we have to go out to the hallway to wave them down. We’ve been at this for some time now, just doing the work day in and day out. It is not always exciting, but it keeps us on our toes. There’s always another shipment to track or a vendor to call. We try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. It’s a real business run by real people who just want to get the day's tasks finished.
