Hotel Viceroy

You can find us right by Chinar Park, sitting just beside the Clubtown Enclave in the Rajarhat area of Kolkata. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with all the new development happening around here. Our hotel is a place where people stop for a night or two while they’re traveling or in town for some business. The lobby isn’t huge, but it’s where we spend most of our time checking people in and out. We see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are just passing through to the airport, and others are here for a bit longer. There’s always something that needs fixing or a room that needs a quick turn-around. We try to keep things tidy, though with the dust from the road outside, it’s a constant job. Our staff usually knows the best spots nearby for a quick meal if someone asks. The building has its quirks, like the way the light hits the hallway in the afternoon. We don’t have anything too fancy, just the basic stuff you need for a decent stay. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it’s completely silent. We’re just a regular group of people working to keep the place running smoothly. It gets a bit loud with the traffic on the main road, but that’s just life in Kolkata. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while now. It is what it is.
