My name is Imtiaz Ahamad and I run things for Asst F B Manager In Hotel from my place on Dum Dum Road. Specifically, we are at Flat No K 2 3 20. If you know Kolkata, you know how busy Dum Dum Road can be at almost any time of the day or night. It’s a lively place to be, that’s for sure. I decided to set up here because it’s where I live and it just made sense. The flat isn't very large, so we’ve had to be quite clever with how we use the space. It’s mostly just me and a few bits of equipment I need for the daily operations. We aren't a big hotel ourselves, even though the name might sound like it. We handle the management side of things from this small apartment. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the hallways can be a bit dim, but once you’re inside, it’s a good quiet space to work. I spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets at the kitchen table. It’s not what people imagine when they think of a professional office, but it works perfectly for what I need to do. I’ve lived in this building for years, so I know everyone on the floor. We don't have any flashy signs outside. Most of our work comes from people I’ve known for a long time. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in the city and keep the costs down.
