Rainbow Beauty Boutique

Our little shop is at 110, Block D in Bangur Avenue. If you know the area, we’re right across from Kalika Sweets. That’s actually a bit of a problem because the smell of fresh samosas and sweets comes right through the door all day and makes us hungry. We’ve been in this spot for some time now. It’s a quiet enough block, though it picks up in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. Inside, we have our regular setup. It isn’t some big, shiny corporate place. It’s just a local boutique where we handle hair and skin stuff for the ladies around here. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the busy hours. The floor always seems to have a bit of hair on it no matter how much we sweep. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets crowded. We know most of our customers by name since they live right here in Bangur. Sometimes they just stop by to say hello even if they don’t need anything done. We have a couple of old chairs that are still comfortable, and the lighting is decent enough for what we do. It’s just a normal business running every day. We open up early, get the tea going, and wait for the first person to knock. It’s a simple life here in Kolkata, and we're happy with how things are going in our corner.
