Rabindra Nath Tagore International Inst. Of Cardoac Sciences

We are over in Mukundpur at 124, near the Santoshpur Connector. It is a huge place, the Rabindra Nath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences. Most people just call it the RTIICS for short. The area around here has changed so much. It used to be much quieter years ago, but now the road is always packed with cars and ambulances. Working here, you see a lot of things every day. It is a very busy cardiac center. The building is quite spread out with different wings for different things. Sometimes even I get a bit turned around in the back corridors if I am not careful. There are always people waiting in the lobby area, families sitting together and talking. We have a lot of staff, so it is a big community within the building. The air conditioning is usually cranked up pretty high, so we often wear sweaters even when it is hot outside. The cafeteria is a main hub where we grab quick meals before getting back to the wards. It is a lot of responsibility, and the pace never really slows down. You hear the announcements over the speakers all day long. Outside, the Santoshpur Connector is always a bit of a traffic jam. We get used to the noise of the city after a while. It is a place that never sleeps, really. We are always here, day and night, just doing the jobs that need to be done.
