R Style Zone

R Style Zone is tucked away at 40/1, P O Road, over in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the people living around here, we are just a part of the daily scenery. The shop name sounds a bit modern, but inside, we are just regular people doing hair. I remember when we first got the space, it was just a bare room, and we slowly put in the mirrors and the stations. P O Road gets quite crowded, especially with the 700028 pin code being such a residential hub. We see a lot of students and office workers who need to look decent without spending a fortune. I usually keep a stack of old newspapers and maybe some magazines for people to flip through while they wait. The air conditioning works most of the time, but on really humid days, it struggles a bit. We just keep going. It’s not a place where you’ll find anything too extravagant. We do cuts, we do shaves, and maybe some basic styling if someone asks. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps me see what I’m doing with the scissors. It’s a small business, and it’s how I make my living. We don't have a website or anything, just the shop on the road where anyone can drop by and see if a chair is free.
