Progressive Steel Corporation

Progressive Steel Corporation is located in one of the older buildings on Netaji Subhas Road. We are up on the 7th floor, in Suite No. 30. Getting up there sometimes takes a bit because the lift can be slow, especially during the lunch hour when everyone is moving around. Our office is number 23A, and it’s a place filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of fans whirring. We deal in steel, mostly on the wholesale side, so a lot of our time is spent on the phone or looking at price sheets. The view from the 7th floor is mostly of other rooftops and the busy street below. It's a bit removed from the noise of the traffic, which is nice when we need to concentrate. We’ve been in this suite for years, and the furniture has definitely seen better days. It’s a functional space, not a showroom. We don't have any fancy art on the walls, just calendars and some charts. Working in the steel industry means things can change fast, so we stay busy keeping track of everything. The staff here is small, and we’ve all worked together for a long time. We know the other tenants in the building and the security guys at the front. It’s a steady, unremarkable kind of work, but we take pride in getting the details right.
