Dacres Lane is mostly known for all the food stalls, but we are located up on the 5th floor in Suite-503. It's an old building, and the lift is often slow, so we end up waiting around quite a bit. We deal with shipping and a lot of paperwork. There are always boxes and messy files stacked up on the desks. It gets a bit cramped in here when a big order finally comes through. We’ve been at this address for a long time. Pranam Exports is just a small group of us trying to get things from one place to another. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing out long emails to vendors. Lunchtime is the best part of the day because the street food downstairs is really good. You can smell the kachoris and tea all the way up here in the office. We aren't a huge corporation with glass walls and uniforms. Our office has plain walls and old ceiling fans that make a loud humming sound. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back. We focus on getting the shipments out on time. It’s just regular work, nothing too exciting. We know the other people in the building quite well. It feels like a small neighborhood. We don't have a fancy reception. Just a door with the name and some old chairs for people to wait.
