P.Paul & Brothers Pvt Ltd

P.Paul & Brothers Pvt Ltd has been sitting on Nirmal Chunder Street for as long as I can remember. The address is B-39, and it’s one of those old buildings that has seen a lot of history. This street always has something going on, with trams passing by not too far away and the smell of street food everywhere. We are a family setup, just a group of brothers and some cousins trying to keep the business running. The rooms inside are high-ceilinged and the fans rattle when you turn them on high. We deal with various goods, and the inventory changes depending on what’s available. It’s not a very modern office, we still use some old wooden desks that have been here for decades. There’s no big corporate structure here, just us talking across the desks to get things sorted. We know most of the shopkeepers on this block by their first names. On rainy days, the street floods a little, and we have to put planks down for people to walk into the office. It’s just part of being in this part of the city. We don’t do much fancy talk. If someone needs something, they come in, we have some tea, and we figure it out. It’s a lot of work keeping an old place like this going, but it’s what we do. It feels like home to us after all these years.
