Plywood Niketan

We are located right near the 228 bus stand on Garia Main Road. It’s a busy spot and the noise from the traffic never really stops during the day. Inside the shop, there is always that smell of cut wood and sawdust hanging in the air. We spend most of our time moving stacks of plywood around or helping people find the right board for their home projects. Some folks come in with very specific measurements written on small scraps of paper, and we do our best to find what they need in the stacks. It’s a bit cramped in here sometimes because of how much stock we keep, but we know where everything is. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of dust no matter how much we sweep. We have been in Garia for quite a while now. When it rains, we have to be quick to keep everything dry. It’s just a few of us here, and we usually have tea brought in from the stall nearby around four o'clock. We don't have any flashy signs or a big office. It’s just the shop with boards leaning against the walls and a heavy desk where we keep the accounts. Most of our regulars are local carpenters who have been buying from us for years. They stop by, have a chat about the weather, and pick up what they need for their current job. That is how the day goes at Plywood Niketan.
