Pasupati Granites

You can find us in Burrabazar, which is probably one of the most crowded places in Kolkata. We are at 73/1 Cotton Street, up on the third floor. It is a very old building, like most things in this part of town. Getting up those stairs can be a bit of a climb. Downstairs, the street is always full of handcarts, rickshaws, and people carrying loads. It’s a lot of chaos, but we like it. Our office is where we handle all the granite orders. Because we are on the third floor, we don’t keep the heavy slabs right here. We use the space for meetings and paperwork. It gets quite noisy with the sounds of the market coming through the windows. We’ve been here for years and know all the neighbors. Business here is done with a lot of shouting and tea. We don't have any corporate manuals. We just know how to sell stone and how to get it through those narrow streets. It’s a challenge to coordinate deliveries in Burrabazar, but we have our ways. The office is a bit old-fashioned with wooden desks and stacks of ledgers. It feels real. We focus on getting the stone to where it needs to go without too much fuss. It is just the way things are done in Cotton Street. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
