Parlour Up To Date

Our shop, Parlour Up To Date, is situated at 59/60 Bagmari Road in the Ultadanga area. We are quite close to the Rohini Complex, which is a useful landmark for anyone trying to find us. We have been in this part of Kolkata for a long time. The street outside is usually busy with rickshaws and people heading to work. Our place is not very big, but it has enough room for the chairs and the mirrors we use every day. We don't go in for expensive decor or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we can do our jobs. Sometimes the walls need a bit of paint, and the floor gets worn down from all the walking, but it shows we are working hard. We know most of the people who live around Bagmari Road. They stop in to chat even when they don't need anything done. It feels like a part of the local life here. We open early and usually don't close until the sun is long gone. There is always something to do, whether it is cleaning the brushes or tidying up the magazines. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in the city. We just want to provide a reliable spot for the neighborhood. It is a simple business run by regular people who live nearby.
