Pabitra Marble

Down here in Sabang, in the district of Paschim Midnapur, things move at their own pace. We run Pabitra Marble right out of this spot, and it is mostly about heavy lifting and getting dusty from the stone. If you have ever worked around marble, you know how it is. The slabs are heavy and you have to be careful how you move them. We have our yard set up here in Sabang where we keep everything organized as best as we can. It is not always perfect, and sometimes the rain makes the ground a bit muddy, but we keep going. People from around Midnapur know our name because we have been around for a bit. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It is just about having the marble ready when someone needs it for their floor or a project they are starting. The sun gets quite hot in this part of West Bengal, so we try to get the heaviest work done before it gets too late in the day. The local kids sometimes run past while we are loading up a truck. It is a regular life here, nothing like those big corporate offices in the city. We just deal with the stone and talk to the people who walk in. It is a simple way to make a living in Sabang. We just hope the weather stays clear so we can keep the yard moving.
