Orient Art Saloon

Orient Art Saloon is tucked away in Ultadanga on Biplabi Barin Ghosh Sarani. It’s a busy part of Kolkata 700067, and we see a lot of people passing by our door every single day. The shop has been here long enough that the walls could probably tell a few stories. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end places you see in the malls. It’s just a traditional setup with basic chairs and the usual tools of the trade. We spend our days cutting hair and shaving beards for the local men who live nearby. Some customers have been coming here since they were kids and now they bring their own sons. It is a bit noisy outside because of the Ultadanga traffic, but we are used to it by now. The space inside is narrow, so things can get a little tight when there are three or four people waiting. We have a small table with some old newspapers and magazines to look at. The mirrors are a bit aged, but they work fine. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It is just a straightforward place to get a haircut without any extra fluff.
