Nuevo Realtors is located at 242 Rabindra Sarani, right on the first floor. Rabindra Sarani is one of those parts of Kolkata that is always full of people, trucks, and stalls. It is a very lively and somewhat chaotic place to have an office, but we like it. Being on the first floor means we are slightly away from the street noise, but we can still hear the trams and the horns all day long. Our office is pretty basic. We have a few desks pushed together and some old shelves for all our property files. We spend a lot of time talking to people who want to find a place in the city. It involves a lot of explaining and looking through dusty folders. We aren't a high-tech company; we prefer to do things the old-fashioned way with a lot of face-to-face talk and hand-written notes. The building itself has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We usually have a pot of tea going, and anyone who comes in is welcome to a cup. It’s a very human way of doing business. We don't have any big speeches or fancy brochures. We just talk to people about what they need and see if we can find it. It is steady work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just take it one day at a time here.
