Nu Face Gents Beauty Saloon is right on the ground floor of Dumdum New Market. We are really close to the Lakhinarayan Mandir, so people usually use that to find us if they get lost on Dum Dum Road. It’s a busy area in Motijhil. Being in a market means there is always noise and people rushing past the door. We don't mind it. It’s been our home for a long time. The shop is strictly for gents. We do haircuts, shaves, and the usual things guys need to look decent for work or a party. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our regulars just know when to show up. Sometimes the chairs are all full and you have to sit on the bench for twenty minutes. We have an old fan that makes a bit of noise but keeps the place cool enough in the Kolkata heat. We use the same brands of creams and soaps that everyone knows. Nothing too expensive or weird. It’s a practical place. We don't talk like those people in the malls. We just speak plain Bengali or Hindi and get to work. If you need a quick trim before going to the temple or the market, we are right here. We like being part of the Dumdum crowd. It’s a good life, even if the hours are long and the space is small. Nothing more to say about it.
