Nittyananda Hair Cutting is tucked away at 25 Bhupen Bose Avenue. We are right opposite Manindra College, so we see a lot of students walking by every single day. The college kids come in when they have a break between classes, and then in the evenings, it’s the older folks from the neighborhood. It is a mix of everyone. The shop is old-fashioned in a way. We have been here at this address for a while now. You can see the college building right across the street from our door. Sometimes it gets loud with the traffic on Bhupen Bose Avenue, but you get used to it. We just focus on the job. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a quick sit. We don't have any big posters or neon lights. Just the name Nittyananda Hair Cutting out front so people know who we are. It is a small space, so it gets crowded quickly. We try to keep it organized, but sometimes the newspapers get scattered around. It feels like home to us, and hopefully, it feels okay to the people who come in. If you are near Manindra College and your hair is looking a bit messy, you can just step inside. We are usually there from morning till late evening, doing the same thing we always do.
