Nishant Overseas

If you ever find yourself in Kolkata on Beniapukur Lane, you’ll find us at 1-B. It’s an old part of the city, and the lane is quite narrow, so don’t try to bring a big car right to the door. We have been operating Nishant Overseas from this spot for years. The building has that old Kolkata feel with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it a little cooler when the summer humidity gets bad. We spend a lot of time dealing with paperwork and talking to people on the phone, even though our office feels like it’s stuck in a different time. There’s a tea stall just outside where we get our morning chai, and the noise of the city is always there in the background. It’s a bit of a maze inside with boxes piled up near the entrance and desks tucked into corners where the light is best. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the daily grind. Sometimes the rain floods the street a bit, and we have to lift the boxes off the floor to keep them dry, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We don’t use any fancy management software; we mostly rely on our notebooks and our memory. It’s simple, honest work. We are just local people running a business from a corner of 700014. It’s not fancy, but it is home to us.
