New Kalpana Art Saloon

New Kalpana Art Saloon is tucked away at 40, B.K.M. Road in Baranagar. We have been working out of this small shop for quite a few years. It’s a simple setup, really. We have our mirrors, our chairs, and our scissors. There isn’t much more to it than that. Baranagar is a busy area, and B.K.M. Road sees a lot of local foot traffic. We get all kinds of people coming in, from students to older gentlemen who have lived here their whole lives. It’s nice to hear the stories people tell while they are sitting in the chair. We don't have any fancy machines or expensive products. It’s just traditional hair cutting and shaving. We try to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in. The shop is small, so if there are more than three people waiting, it starts to feel a bit cramped, but nobody seems to mind much. They just wait outside or chat with the neighbors. We open up early in the morning and we don't close until the last customer is done. It’s hard work, but it’s our own thing. We are proud to be a small part of the Baranagar community. Just a local saloon doing its thing day in and day out. We don't need much to be happy here, just a steady flow of customers and sharp tools.
