Starting off here in Kolkata at our office on Bentik Street was a bit of a challenge. We are up on the fourth floor, in Room 405. If you’ve ever walked down 37A, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s noisy outside but once you get inside the building, things quiet down a bit. We’ve been running Nayak And Associates Private Limited for a while now. Some days are just filled with paperwork and phone calls that never seem to stop. People come by the office when they need things sorted out. It isn't a fancy place with expensive furniture or anything like that. Just some desks, computers, and a lot of files piled up. The elevators in this old building can be slow, so sometimes walking up is faster if you have the energy. We usually have tea delivered around mid-morning from the shop downstairs. That’s when most of the real work happens. We try to keep things straightforward. No one here likes those long, confusing meetings that don't go anywhere. We just get through the pile on the desk and move to the next thing. Living and working in West Bengal means dealing with the heat, so the fans are always going full speed. It’s just us doing what needs to get done every day. Sometimes we stay late when a project gets complicated. It's not always perfect, but we show up and do the job. That's pretty much how we operate.
