Namita New Style Saloon

Namita New Style Saloon is located on the ground floor at Ad-142 Rabindrapally Road. We’re in the Prafulla Kanan area of Kolkata, right near Calcutta Builders. It’s a small shop, but we’ve made it work for us over the last few years. I’ve been running this place for a bit, doing mostly hair cutting and styling. It’s called New Style but we do all the classic stuff too. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which is nice for work. We have a couple of chairs and a big mirror that covers one whole wall. Sometimes the sink leaks a little, but we put a bucket under it and it’s fine for now. We get a lot of people from the nearby apartments who just want a quick trim. I don't really do the fancy bridal stuff, mostly just day-to-day beauty work for regular customers. My sister helps me out when things get busy during the festival season. We have a small radio that plays old songs in the background. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We don't have a computerized billing system or anything, just a notebook where I write down what we did and how much it was. It’s a very simple, old-school way of doing things, but it works for us and our customers seem happy enough to keep coming back to us.
