M/S Munna Bhai Saloon

You can find us on Raja Ram Mohan Roy Sarani, specifically on Raja Dinendra Street. We are right by the Mithun School, so you can always hear the kids playing or the bells ringing during the day. This saloon has a very local feel to it. It’s just Munna and a couple of others working here. The space is small and we have to be careful not to bump into each other when it's busy. We have the usual stuff, some bottles of aftershave, sharp scissors, and a few old towels. We don't use any of those expensive products you see on TV. We just use what works and what people around here can afford. Most of the men who come in are workers or fathers from the neighborhood. Sundays are our busiest days because everyone wants to get cleaned up before the Monday morning rush. We have some wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait. Sometimes the wait is long, so we have some old newspapers lying around. It’s a simple place. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the shop, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It's been like this for years. We like the people here and they seem to like us too. It’s just a normal part of life on this street. We do our job and go home.
