You can find Monument Stone Works India at Sight Model Town in Madhyabalia. We have our setup in Flat No. 310, which is at house number 4. We are a bit different from your average construction company because we focus on stone for monuments and other special projects. Working with stone is a slow process. It takes a lot of looking at slabs to find the one that does not have any hidden cracks. We deal with granite and marble and other materials that are meant to last for a very long time. Kolkata has such a long history with stone structures, and we feel like we are just carrying on that tradition in our own small way. We are not a huge factory with thousands of workers. It is a more personal setup where we can actually talk to people about what they want to build. Sometimes a family comes in wanting a memorial, and other times it is a contractor looking for something specific for a new building. We do not have any fancy sales people. We just show you what we have and explain how the stone will hold up over the years. Madhyabalia is a good place for us because it is a bit removed from the busiest parts of the city, which gives us the focus we need. We just take it one slab at a time and try to do right by the material.
