Monsoon Exports India

Our office is on the second floor of the Diamond Chamber, specifically Flat 2B in Block IV. We’re at 4 Chowringhee Lane in Kolkata. It’s an old building with a lot of character, and the stairs can be a bit of a workout if the lift isn't behaving. Monsoon Exports India has been operating from this spot for quite some time. The rooms have high ceilings and we have windows that look out over the street, though it’s mostly just roofs and wires. We do a lot of export work, so the desks are usually piled high with folders and samples of whatever we’re sending out that month. It gets very humid here, and we usually have a couple of old wooden cupboards stuffed with old records. The neighborhood is full of history and there’s always a good place to grab a chai just a few steps away. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find someone typing away or talking loudly on the phone to a supplier. It’s a bit chaotic during the peak shipping seasons, but we manage to get everything sorted out eventually. The building stays fairly cool because of the thick walls, which is a blessing in the summer. We’ve got a small team and we’ve all worked together for years, so we know the routine by heart.
