Monalisa Ladies Beauty Parlour

Monalisa Ladies Beauty Parlour is right on Jessore Road, at number 1111. It’s a big, famous road in Kolkata, and we are located in the 700028 area. If you are looking for us, we are directly opposite the Mrinalini Cinema Hall. People used to come in after the movies, but now it’s mostly just people who live in the local apartments or walk by. The shop is a bit older, with some wear and tear on the edges, but it’s got character. We don't believe in overcomplicating things. We have our scissors, our combs, and our creams, and that’s plenty for us. Jessore Road is always packed with trucks and buses, so the front of the shop gets a little dusty, but we try to keep the inside nice for the ladies. It’s not a corporate chain where everything looks the same. Our mirrors are slightly different sizes and the chairs are a bit mismatched, but they are comfortable enough. We’ve seen the cinema hall across the street go through many changes while we’ve stayed right here. It’s a small operation. Most days it’s just one or two of us working. We don't have a mission statement or any fancy goals. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer to come in. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be part of this busy neighborhood for such a long time.
