We are located at 49 Madan Mohan Burman Street in Kolkata. It’s a busy part of the city, and our office is right in the middle of all that noise and movement. Most days, we just come in, open the shutters, and start going through the files for the day. There is always a lot of paperwork when you deal with realty. It is not a fancy place, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of cabinets filled with documents from over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people who walk in looking for advice on property stuff. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of old paper and dust, which we are used to by now. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other, but that is just how life is on this street. We have a small team here. We handle the daily tasks of managing properties and talking to landlords or buyers. It is a lot of practical work, nothing like what you see in the movies. We drink plenty of tea throughout the afternoon to keep going. There is a small shop nearby that brings us snacks if we are too busy to go out. We just try to get things done correctly without making a big fuss about it. It’s a regular job for us and we like being part of this neighborhood.
