Our place, Mittal Marble & Tiles Pvt. Ltd., is right on Canal East Road. You can find us near the Arbindo Setu Gouri Bari Bridge, which is a landmark most people in this part of town recognize. The shop is full of heavy marble slabs and crates of tiles, so there isn’t always a lot of room to walk around easily. We spend our time showing people the different colors and patterns we have in stock. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the trolley to show a specific piece. The bridge traffic makes it a bit noisy outside, but inside we just focus on the inventory. We’ve got stuff piled up from the floor to the ceiling in some parts of the warehouse. It’s not a shiny corporate office; it’s a working shop where things get a bit messy with stone dust and packing materials. We try to keep things organized so we can find what a customer is looking for without searching for an hour. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic on the bridge, but we just deal with it. We’ve been at 14/3 for a good while, and we just keep doing what we know. It is steady work, and we like being part of the local trade here along the canal. We don't have much time for fancy talk, we just keep the shop running.
