Mithu Saloon

Mithu Saloon is right on the Main Road in Ultadanga. It’s a very busy area with all the buses and people moving around all day long. Our shop is right in the middle of it. We’ve been cutting hair here for many years, so we’ve seen a lot of people come and go. It’s a small shop, just enough room for two chairs and a little space to stand. We mostly do haircuts and shaves for the men who work around here or live in the nearby apartments. Because we are on the main road, we get a lot of people who just drop in while they are waiting for a bus or walking to the station. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs outside or near the door. It gets quite noisy with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We keep our tools clean and our scissors sharp, that's the main thing. We don't do anything very modern, just the classic cuts that people have been asking for since we opened. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have a big window that lets in some sunlight during the day. We try to work fast because people in Ultadanga always seem to be in a hurry. It’s a simple, local business. We don't have a website or anything like that. You just see the sign and come in.
