Mark Associates

Our office is tucked away at 9/22/1, Dwijen Mukerjee Road, right in the heart of Behala. It’s an old part of the city, and the street can get quite narrow when the local rickshaws and cars are all trying to pass at once. Mark Associates isn't a big corporate setup; it’s more of a local workspace where we handle our daily business. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the wooden desks have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep a lot of files and ledgers around because that’s just how we’ve always done things here. Most mornings start with a cup of tea from the stall down the road while we look over the schedule. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it does its job of keeping the Kolkata humidity at bay. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just provide a place where the local community can reach us easily. Being in Behala means we see the same faces every day, and we like that familiarity. The sounds of the neighborhood, from the vendors calling out to the distant temple bells, come right through the windows. It’s a grounded place to work, and we don't feel the need for anything more modern or flashy. We just stay focused on the tasks on our desks and make sure the door stays open for whoever needs to stop by.
