Our place is located at 13A P.K. Tagore Street, right in the heart of Nutun Bazar in Kolkata. We are up on the second floor of the building. If you’ve ever been to Nutun Bazar, you know how loud and crowded the whole area can get. There are people everywhere, and the smells of the market are always coming through the open windows. We’ve been in this building for quite a few years now. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, which makes moving big boxes a real chore sometimes. We deal with exports, so there is always something being packed or unpacked for shipping. The floor is usually covered in bits of bubble wrap and brown tape. It’s a bit of a mess during the middle of the day, but we try to clear it all out by the evening. Our office isn't very large at all, so we have to be smart about how we use the space we have. The ceiling fans run all day to keep the air moving, which is necessary. It’s an old part of the city, and the building reflects that with its thick walls and high ceilings. We like it here because we are right in the middle of all the action. You can hear the shouting and the bells from the market below, which keeps things lively. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone visits, they usually just sit on one of the extra wooden crates while we talk.
