Manashi Boutique

Manashi Boutique is at P241 Lake Road. This part of the city is quite nice because the lake is right there. We get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is a relief in the summer. The shop itself is a modest space. We’ve filled it with as many clothes and fabric rolls as we can fit. It’s mostly us working there throughout the day. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. I usually spend my time at the counter or helping someone find a specific size. The shelves are packed and sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for without moving a few things around. We like the location because it’s not too far from the main road but it’s still relatively calm. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood, like the birds or the occasional car. We have a small table in the back where we do most of the cutting and measuring. It’s a bit cramped when we have more than three people inside, but we make it work. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell clothes and try to keep the shop in order. Sometimes we close early if there’s nothing left to do, but usually we are there until the sun goes down. People often stop in after a walk by the lake. It’s a steady way to spend the day at P241. There is always paperwork at the end.
