We have our shop, Mahi Boutique, at 1 Rawdon Street inside the Shubham Building. Rawdon Street is a pretty well-known spot in the city. The building is solid and we have been here for some time now. Inside, we have our collection of clothes laid out. It is not a massive space, but we try to use every inch of it. We spend a lot of time sorting through different fabrics and checking the finish on the garments. It is mostly just us working quietly. The atmosphere in the Shubham Building is professional, but we try to keep our shop feeling a bit more relaxed. We do not like those fancy, cold stores where you feel like you can't touch anything. Here, you can come in and feel the material for yourself. We have a lot of regular people who have been coming to us since we opened. Sometimes the traffic on Rawdon Street makes it hard for people to reach us, but they usually find a way. We have a small area where we do some of the design work. It is often messy with sketches and bits of lace. We do not use any high-tech gadgets, just old-fashioned measuring tapes and good scissors. It is a steady kind of work. We are not looking to become a huge chain; we just want to keep making clothes that people feel comfortable wearing. It is a decent way to spend the day.
