Maheshwari Group

Our office is located at R N Mukherjee Road, specifically Office No. 1 on the 5th floor, Room No. 19. If you look out the window, you can see the Lal Bazar Police Head Quarter right across the street. Being on the 5th floor means we get a bit of a workout if the lift isn’t working right, which happens more often than we’d like. The Maheshwari Group is just a small team of us working in this space. It’s not a polished corporate suite with glass walls. It’s a typical Kolkata office with stacks of files, heavy wooden desks, and the hum of old ceiling fans. We deal with a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. R N Mukherjee Road is always packed with people and cars, so it’s never quiet around here. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now and know the other tenants well. Our work isn't flashy. It’s mostly managing different things and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. We drink a lot of tea while we work and sometimes the office gets a bit messy when we’re busy. We don't have any big mission statements. We’re just here to do our jobs and keep things running smoothly. It’s a practical environment where everyone knows what they need to do. We usually finish up when the street noise starts to fade a little bit and the day's work is done.
