Machine Tools Centre

We are located at 67 B, Netaji Subhas Road. If you know this road, you know how packed it gets with people and rickshaws every single day. Machine Tools Centre is our little shop here. We sell all kinds of tools that people need for their workshops. The shelves are very high and filled with heavy boxes. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what a customer wants right away, but we eventually dig it out from the back. The building is old, like most of the ones on Netaji Subhas Road. We have high ceilings and those old-fashioned fans that don’t do much but move the warm air around. It is a family-run kind of thing. I work here with my cousins and a few other staff members. We start early and stay until the metal shutters go down in the evening. There is no big philosophy behind what we do. We just buy tools and sell them to people who need them for their jobs. It is noisy and dusty, but it is our daily life. We drink tea from the stall next door and talk to the regulars who stop by. If you are looking for a specific wrench or a certain drill bit, we probably have it somewhere in the piles. That is just how we operate here, and it works for us.
