Lords

Being located on VIP Road here in Kolkata keeps us pretty busy. We are right in the Rabindra Pally-Keshtopur neighborhood, not too far from Prafulla Kanan. If you’ve ever walked around this part of the city, you know how the traffic can get. We’re just one of the many spots along this stretch of the 700101 zip code. It’s a mix of people always rushing somewhere and locals just doing their shopping. We decided to set up here because there's always something going on. The building isn't anything spectacular, just a regular place where we do our thing. Some days the heat in Kolkata is pretty rough, so we see people coming in just to get out of the sun for a bit. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It's just us working every day. We’ve gotten to know the shopkeepers nearby and the guys who run the stalls. It feels like a little community even though the main road is so loud. You can hear the horns honking all day long from inside, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't some big corporate office. It’s just a few of us making sure everything is running. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we’ll get around to fixing it eventually. It’s just life at Lords on VIP Road. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
