Lokenath Marbles

We are located at 8 Canal East Road in Ultadanga. It’s a busy area and we’ve been part of it for a long time. Selling marble isn’t exactly a clean job, so the shop usually has a bit of grit on the floors, but that’s normal for us. We spend most of our time out with the slabs, checking the patterns and making sure everything is in good shape for the people who buy from us. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and the stones. A lot of folks from around the neighborhood stop by because they know we’ve been here. Sometimes we get caught up talking about the old days in Ultadanga while we're supposed to be measuring stone. The traffic on Canal East Road can be a real headache sometimes, especially when we have a delivery truck trying to back in, but we make it work. We keep things simple here. You come in, look at the marble, and we tell you what it costs. No hidden stuff. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and physical labor, but it keeps us busy. We like being a local business where people can just walk in and ask a question without feeling like they're in a high-end mall. It's just a regular shop doing its thing day in and day out. There is always a lot of dust, but that is part of the work.
