Lila Boti Genaral Hospital

Lila Boti General Hospital is located right on Rajar Hat Road in the Taltala area of Baguati. It’s a place where we see a bit of everything because it’s a general hospital. Being in Taltala means we are right in the middle of a very populated residential zone. The building is a few stories high and we have different sections for different kinds of sickness. We have a small team here that manages the front desk and the wards. It's not the kind of place with shiny glass walls, but it is functional and serves the local community well. We spend our mornings checking on the patients who stayed overnight and the afternoons are usually for people coming in for checkups. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and vendors, so there is a lot of noise from the road. Inside, the nurses are busy with paperwork or getting medicines ready. We have a pharmacy nearby too which helps. Most of the people who come here are from the surrounding blocks in Baguati. It feels like a community spot where everyone knows everyone else. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long in the hallway. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the generator, which makes a loud humming sound. It’s part of living and working in this part of town. We have a small area where family members can sit and wait, usually drinking tea from the stall outside.
