Krishna Trading

We are located out in Rabindranagar, near the Noapara post office. Most people around Barasat know the area well. Krishna Trading isn't a huge corporation, just a local spot where we deal with everyday goods that people in the district need. It's a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like it here. The North 24 Parganas weather can be tough, especially when it rains and the roads get muddy. Our shop is pretty simple. We have shelves filled with stock and a small counter where we sit. My nephew helps me out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We spend a lot of time talking to the regular customers who stop by for a chat as much as for their supplies. It’s a friendly neighborhood. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the stools until it comes back. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. People find us by word of mouth or they just see us when they’re passing through toward the police station. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We open early in the morning before it gets too hot and stay until the sun goes down. It’s just about being reliable for the people who live nearby. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent shop and keep things moving for the local folks.
